A good combination of theory and decades of experience as an insider to festival circles is "seasoned" with the charm and patina of traditional film criticism. Following the theorical trends in the world, the book brings novelty in the form of the claim that the reconceptualization of the festival takes place through two main matrices - the matrix of the film – spectator relation, as well as the matrix of the festival – film industry relation.
Dukić transforms a rigorously defined text into a drinkable rumination and a dynamic guide through the network of film festivals in the world, region and country. The book elegantly "crowns" and rounds off the rich experience of a critic and artistic director of film festivals on all continents, experience that he now shares with the reader, leading him/her to overcome pleasure by enjoying the new and unexpected.
The festival has officially opened!
