Audience award
To mark the centenary of the birth of the great Serbian and Yugoslav actor Slobodan Cica Perović (1926–1978), an exhibition dedicated to this extraordinary artist will be presented as part of the 33rd European Film Festival Palić, organized by the Yugoslav Film Archive.
Through photographs, archival materials, and a retrospective of the most significant moments of his distinguished career, the exhibition sheds light on the life and work of an actor who left a profound mark on the history of Yugoslav cinema. An authentic and truly unique screen presence, Slobodan Cica Perović is remembered for his lack of mannerism, the unpredictability of his performances, and the distinctive humanity with which he shaped his characters.
His prolific body of work spanned a wide range of genres – from comedy and drama to the films of the Yugoslav Black Wave – and the many roles he portrayed bear witness to his exceptional talent and artistic dedication. Among the most significant films of his career are Ward Six, The Rats Woke Up, Crows, Three, and The Bridge, as well as the comedies The Dreams Came by Coach and Men, for which he won the Golden Arena at the Pula Film Festival in 1963.
