POWER OF LOVE: Vlastimir Gavrik

Aleksandra Gavrik is a film and television producer and artist who created an exhibition titled The Power of Love, showcasing set designs, drawings, and photographs by Vlastimir Gavrik – a renowned figure in both world and Yugoslav cinematography. A film and television set designer, Vlastimir worked in the industry for over fifty years.

The exhibition features more than thirty works and artifacts, including Gavrik's most prestigious awards and decorations. He was awarded the Order of Merit for the People and remains the only Serbian set designer to have received an American Oscar.

Vlastimir Gavrik was also the founder and president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Serbia, an institution recognized by the American Film Academy that nominates Serbian films for the Oscars.

Vlastimir Gavrik is buried in the Alley of Greats.
