Her Story, Her Future - Empowering Women in the Film Industry explores the transformative power of female mentorship in the film industry. As growing evidence indicates that women mentors pave the way for success, remove barriers, and campaign for equity and inclusion, there is a dire need for more visibility and for sharing vulnerability in real-life leadership examples. This insightful panel discussion highlights the importance of women supporting women, showcasing personal stories and approaches for inclusivity that have paved the way for gender equality.

The panel is moderated by filmmaker and researcher Mirona Radu, founder of Her Story, Her Future - mentoring program for women in the film industry, featuring esteemed panelists and mentors in the second edition of the program: Elena Rubashevska (Ukraine), Eva Demeter (Hungary), Marta Popivoda (Serbia/Germany), Monika Husar (Serbia), Monica Stan (Romania), Olimpia Melinte (Romania), and Zhana Kalinova (Bulgaria/Germany), with diverse expertise and knowledge in the film field.

The discussion delves into the evolution and current landscape of mentorship, the unique challenges faced by women who balance being a mentor while continuing to grow and learn in their career, and the specific strategies they use to build confidence and assertiveness in female mentees. By fostering personal connections and highlighting real-life examples of mentorship, Her Story, Her Future - Empowering Women in the Film Industry aspires to inspire and prepare film professionals to create more inclusive and equitable industry practices.
