The 31st EFF Palić – Announcement of Events for the Fourth Day

On the fourth day of the festival, Tuesday, July 23, two films will be featured in the Official Selection at the Summer Stage in Palić: “When the Light Breaks” by Runar Runarsson at 9 p.m., followed by “Celebration” by Bruno Anković at 11 p.m.

In the Parallels and Encounters program at the Abazija Cinema in Palić, the schedule includes the films “Bosnian Pot” by Pavo Marinkovićat 6 p.m. and “Five and a Half Love Stories in an Apartment in Vilnius, Lithuania” by Tomas Vengris at 8 p.m.

The film “Matria” by Alvaro Gago is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the “Mira Banjac” Hall of the Abazija Cinema as part of the Galicia in Focus section. In the New Hungarian Film section, the film “Some Birds” directed by Daniel Hevér will be screened at the Eurocinema in Subotica at 7 p.m.

Two films will be screened at the Lifka Art Cinema in Subotica: “Forest” by Lidia Duda in the Eco Dox program at 5 p.m., and “Zinzindurrunkarratz” by Oskar Alegria in the New European Documentary Film program at 7 p.m.

The Underground Spirit Award Laureate Homage program will feature the film “Failed Emptiness” by Mika Taanila at the Abazija Cinema at 10 p.m.

A selection of short films from the Zsigmond Vilmos Film Festival, “Last Act” by Máté Gergely Kiss, “Affricate” by Anna Gyimesi, and “Einstand” by Levente Kölcsey, will be screened at the Eurocinema in Subotica at 5 p.m. In the section of presenting the Alexandre Trauner Art/Film Festival from Szolnok, Hungary, the audience will have the opportunity to see the following short films: “Anja” by Benő Baranyi, “Bye, Little Block!” by Éva Darabos, “Waft” by Paula Wilczyńska, “Meddle” by Gillian Darling-Kovanić, “St. Kulon” by Ernest Lorek, and “Your Dad” by Kühnel Szabó Anita.

The films will be shown at the “Mira Banjac” Hall of the Abazija Cinema beginning at 5 p.m. At 11 p.m., the band Moonlightning will have a concert at the Abazija Cinema.

There will be a rerun of the Official Selection program at the Eurocinema, featuring the films “The Last of the Jews” at 12:00 p.m. and “Kalman’s Day” at 2:00 p.m. The total ticket price for both films is 200 dinars.

Tickets for the Official Selection program cost 300 dinars for a one-day pass covering two films. They can be purchased at the Summer Stage box office from July 20 to 26, 2024, starting at 8:00 p.m. Tickets for the Parallels and Encounters competition program are 200 dinars for two films and can be purchased at the Abazija Cinema box office in Palić half an hour before the screening starts. In case of bad weather, films from the competition program will be screened at the Eurocinema (Open University of Subotica, 15 Tzar Jovan Nenad Square) at the scheduled times. Admission to all other festival screenings is free!
