Saša Radojević’s book Serbian Cinema: The Sixties (Film Center Serbia, 2025) focuses on films screened between January 1, 1960, and December 31, 1969. The author seeks to encompass the widest possible range of films produced in Serbia during that period. Rather than evaluating their artistic merits, he takes pleasure in discovering what is truly visible within them, as well as the hidden traces of the reality of the time. Embedded in these films as records or interpretations, these signs have been preserved like messages in a time capsule, awaiting future generations to decipher them.
