The 31st EFF Palić – Announcement of Events for the Fifth Day

On the fifth day of the festival, Wednesday, July 24, two films will be featured in the Official Selection at the Summer Stage in Palić: “Andrea’s Love” by Manuel Martín Cuenca at 9 p.m., followed by “Sons” by Gustav Möller at 11 p.m.

In the Parallels and Encounters program at the Abazija Cinema in Palić, the schedule includes the films “Hesitation Wound” by Selman Nacar at 6 p.m. and “8 Views of Lake Biwa” by Marko Raat at 8 p.m. The Galicia in Focus program will feature a segment of short films at the “Mira Banjac” Hall of the Abazija Cinema, beginning at 7 p.m.

The following films will be screened: “Seabreaker” by Eloy Domínguez Serén, “I Can’t See You” by Xacio Baño, “No River Protects Me from Myself” by Carla Andrade, and “Alicia Does Stuff” by Ángel Santos. In the New Hungarian Film section, the film “Death of a Goalkeeper” directed by Siflis Zoltán will be screened at the Eurocinema in Subotica at 7 p.m.

Two films will be screened at the Lifka Art Cinema in Subotica: at 5 p.m. “The Planet of Slivovo” by Vladimir Perović in the Eco Dox program, and at 7 p.m., in the New European Documentary Film program, LEONE’s “Sting Like a Bee”, which revolves around friendship, love, and a great passion for Piaggio Ape in small Italian towns of the Trigno valley.

The EFA Shorts program will include screenings of short films “Daydreaming So Vividly About Our Spanish Holidays” by Christian Avilés, “Asterión” by Francesco Montagner, “Headspace” by Aisling Byrne, “I Think of Silences When I Think of You” by Jonelle Twum, and “PAPA – Notes on Life and Death” by Andreas Bøggild Monies, which will be shown at the “Mira Banjac” Hall of the Abazija Cinema in Palić beginning at 5 p.m.

The Young Spirit of Europe program will feature the following films: “One More Day” directed by Radivoje Bukvić and starring Mira Banjac, “The Family Portrait” by Lea Vidaković, “Love’s Servant” by Emanuela Muzzupappa, “Mania!” by Lena Jaworska, and this year’s Short Film Palme d'Or winner “The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent” by Nebojša Slijepčević. The films will be shown at the Abazija Cinema beginning at 10 p.m. In the festival’s accompanying program, the environmental panel discussion “Climate change – changing environmental awareness of the public” will be held at the Grand Terrace in Palić at 10 a.m.

At 11 p.m., the band Trojka will perform a concert at the Abazija Cinema.

There will be a rerun of the competition program at the Eurocinema according to the following schedule: the film “Celebration” will be shown at 12 p.m. and “When the Light Breaks” at 2 p.m.

Tickets for the Official Selection program cost 300 dinars for a one-day pass covering two films. They can be purchased at the Summer Stage box office from July 20 to 26, 2024, starting at 8:00 p.m. Tickets for the Parallels and Encounters competition program are 200 dinars for two films and can be purchased at the Abazija Cinema box office in Palić half an hour before the screening starts. In case of bad weather, films from the competition program will be screened at the Eurocinema (Open University of Subotica, 15 Tzar Jovan Nenad Square) at the scheduled times. Admission to all other festival screenings is free!
