FIPRESCI AWARD GOES TO SWEAT

DECISION OF THE FIPRESCI JURY FOR THE OFFICIAL SELECTION

During the 27th Festival FIPRESCI Jury members were: Belarus film critic Anton Sidorenko, Turkish film critic Esin Kucuktepepinar and Spanish film critic Victor Paz Morandeira, president of the jury.

Upon viewing the Official Selection of twelve films jury has made the following decision:

FIPRESCI AWARD FOR THE BEST FILM WITHIN OFFICIAL SELECTION goes to Polish-Swedish film SWEAT by Magnus von Horn:

With its subtle observation of a young social media 'influencer' and the people around her, the film carefully captures our times and values in the middle of crisis, both physically and virtually. While craving for intimacy, her camera for the audience is far from revealing the truth. The camera follows her constantly for underlining existential fall out subtly, in nonjudgmental manner.
