Warming Up for the 33rd European Film Festival Palić with the Best  of European Cinema

As part of the pre-festival program of the 33rd European Film Festival Palić, audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the finest European films of the past year at the Eurocinema theatre. The Europe 4 Kids and Best of Europe sections will run from July 4 to 10, while the Best of the Region program will be presented from July 11 to 15.

As part of the Europe 4 Kids section, seven films for children and young audiences that premiered in cinemas over the past year will be screened daily at 5 pm from July 4 to 10 at the Eurocinema. The programme includes the feature film Hajduk in Belgrade and the animated features The Last Whale Singer (Germany), Living Large (Czech Republic), Chickenhare and the Secret of The Groundhog (France), School of Magical Animals 3 (Germany), Heidi: Rescue of the Lynx (Germany) and Arco (France).

A selection of short films from the Animation Bucharest International Film Festival (ABIFF) will be screened before each Europe 4 Kids screening: Ravenera (Bulgaria), Inuit (Romania), Mimesis (France), Dad Said (Netherlands), Tiger and Fox: Animals Grieve Their Loss Too (France) and Triple Terror (Romania).

As part of the Best of Europe program, audiences will be able to see seven European and Serbian productions that have distinguished themselves over the past two years. The following films will be screened daily at 7 pm from July 4 to 10: Sentimental Value (Norway), this year's winner of the Academy Award for Best International Feature; Two Prosecutors (France/Germany), winner of the Golden Tower for Best Film at the 32nd European Film Festival Palić; La Grazia (Italy) by Paolo Sorrentino; Sirat (France), winner of the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival; Young Mothers (Belgium) by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne; The Voice of Hind Rajab (Tunisia), winner of the Jury Prize at the Venice International Film Festival; and Franz (Czech Republic/Poland), directed by Agnieszka Holland.

The Best of the Region program is dedicated to films from the region that attracted the greatest attention in local cinemas following the previous edition of the European Film Festival Palić. Daily at 7pm from July 11 to 15, the following films will be shown: The Tower of Strength (Montenegro), and Harvest, Yugo Florida, Pearlescent Fog and Isolation (Serbia).

The 33rd European Film Festival Palić will take place from July 18 to 22 at the festival's distinctive Summer Stage in Palić, as well as other venues in Palić and Subotica.

The European Film Festival Palić has been supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, Public Information and Relations with Religious Communities, the City of Subotica, the European Union through the Creative Europe MEDIA program, as well as numerous friends and media partners.

For more than two decades, Gorky List has supported the European Film Festival Palić, serving both as an integral part of its visual identity and as the sponsor of the Gorky List Audience Award, which encourages audiences to engage more deeply with the films presented at the festival.
