Vlastimir Gavrik was the founder and president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Serbia, an institution recognized by the American Film Academy that nominates Serbian films for the Oscars. As a tribute to The Power of Love she felt for her father, Aleksandra created both the exhibition and film of the same name, to honor and preserve the memory of a man who stands at the very foundation of Yugoslav film and television.
