Alina, a modest nurse who provides for her 22-year-old son Radu, tries to rekindle a past love with Pavel, the director of a real estate agency. Pavel's help in hiring Radu at his firm takes the situation in a totally unexpected direction – the boy steals €18,000 from his employer's office. From this moment on, the money will change the interpersonal relationships and intensify the characters' plots. The fall into a coma of Mr. Klauss, a wealthy architect and art collector who has come under Alina's care, introduces his daughter, Mihaela Klauss, into the action. She will come up with a solution to the nurse's financial problems, asking her in exchange for help to commit a crime, namely to disconnect her father, Mr. Klauss, from life support machines. From this point on, all the characters become interconnected and influence each other's fates according to their own hidden interests.
