At night, Mara (10) and her mother enter Bucharest seeking refuge with relatives. They have just run away from home after a violent domestic event. They’re planning to stay at Mara’s aunt’s for a couple of days and regroup, mapping out a new beginning away from home. But it seems like everyone (either relatives or perfect strangers) claims to know what’s best for them and “help” is only a matter of perception.
