Ten years after the passing of Vlada Divljan, one of the most beloved musicians of the former Yugoslavia, his family opens boxes full of memories in their Vienna apartment. Among the letters, diaries, music notes, and trinkets that preserve moments in time, they discover a throve of previously unseen footage – intimate videos Vlada recorded himself with a small home camera over more than 15 years. These personal recordings offer a unique cinematic portrait of the everyday life of an artist whose famous smile remains a symbol of his cheerfulness, creativity, and talent. Animated sequences accompany Vlada’s fictional desert island tales, bringing to life his inner world of imagination, wit, and tenderness, evoking the ghosts of "Moby Dick" and "The Little Prince", indicating Vlada's penchant for the poetic and allegorical.
