The most important thing for us is that the film goes to cinema distribution at the end of August and in September, and that many people will see it. "Impure Blood - Sin of the Ancestors" is a kind of film you want to watch many times. The Palić Film Festival is a wonderful opportunity for the festival audience to watch the film before it goes to distribution so that people can watch the film in cinemas, "Besides that, Palić is an international festival and practically all the professional audience of the region is present at it.”With this film, Milutin Petrović comes back to the Palić European Film Festival after 2015 and the screening of his "Loop".

The film follows the story of Hadži Trifun, a prominent Serbian merchant, who tries to keep the peace with the Turkish authorities, but also maintains his reputation and influence in Vranje, an important Turkish town near the border with liberated Serbia. While Trifun is preparing his two sons to succeed him as leaders of the Serbian people, he is suffering not only from the powerful Turkish bey, but also from his family. Trifun makes difficult decisions that will later affect his descendants, the heroes of the novel "Impure Blood".

The roles are played by Dragan Bjelogrlić, Anđela Jovanović, Katarina Radivojević, Feđa Štukan, Tim Sejfi, Nela Mihailović, Marko Grabež, Aleksandar Ristovski, Nedim Nezirović, Dejan Bucin, Teodora Dragićević, MIlica Gojković and Vaja Dujović. The film was written by Vojislav Nanović and adapted by Milena Marković. Milenko Jeremić was in charge of the scenography, who with his team built a replica of the 19th century Vranje for this purpose, while the magnificent costumes of the time were created by the costume designer Marina Medenica. The film was produced by This and That Productions.

The film "Impure Blood - Sin of Ancestors" is a historical drama based on the works of Bora Stanković, masterfully written by the famous Vojislav Nanović.
