On Wednesday, February 5, 2020, in the ceremonial hall of the Presidency of the Republic of Serbia, the Vuk Award was presented to Radoslav Zelenović, director of the Palić European Film Festival, for his outstanding contribution to film art. Živorad Ajdačić, Secretary General of the Cultural and Educational Community, in his opening address recalled that the award was presented traditionally for the 56 th time in early February, and Vuk Karadžić, whose famous name it bears, passed away on February 7, 1864. Among the winners of the 2019 Vuk Award was EFF Palić council member, a film artist, Gordana Đurđević Dimić.
The president of the jury for the 2019 Vuk Award was Darko Tanasković, oriental philologist, and members were Živorad Ajdačić, director, drama writer, Milovan Vitezović, writer, Zoran Gutović,
publisher, Uroš Dojčinović and Bora Dugić, musicians, Selimir Radulović, writer, Elizabeta Ristanović, VMA professor, and Radovan Trnavac Mića, painter.
This prestigious award has been assigned by the Serbian Cultural and Educational Community for 56 years to individuals and institutions that have significantly contributed to the development of
culture, science and education in the Republic of Serbia.
