A new film decade is beginning
With the programme director of the European Film Festival Palić Miroslav Mogorović we spoke for the Festival Newsletter about this year's edition of the festival and about plans for the next jubilee, 20 European Film Festival Palć, 2013.
How would you summarize this year's European Film Festival Palić?The best festival edition so far. Excellent films, a very successful EAVE creative workshop, parties and of course numerous guests who are very satisfied and who all stated they would come back to the festival. All in all, I am very pleased.
What are the plans for the jubilee, the twentieth edition of the festival?
It is the twentieth, jubilee festival, and it has to be the best so far and it has to be everything that people dreamed it would be. I see my task in overcoming what once Blažo Perović and Radoslav Zelenović, when they were starting out, had as a vision of development in order to make them say that what is planned for next year they couldn’t even dream of. Starting with next year’s 20 Festival, a new decade of the festival is beginning, and I see myself as the key person in improvement of the Festival on its way to become the most reliable European film festival in the region. This doesn’t mean that I’m competing with anyone in the region, simply, our concept has to be exactly what it is - meaning that we have something that makes us different from everyone else. And that is very nice for a small environment such as Palić, and Serbia.
