The 31st EFF Palić – Announcement of Events for the Sixth Day

On the sixth day of the festival, Thursday, July 25, two films will be featured in the Official Selection at the Summer Stage in Palić: “78 Days” by Emilija Gašić at 9 p.m., followed by “The Girl with the Needle” by Magnus von Horn at 11 p.m.

In the Parallels and Encounters program at the Abazija Cinema in Palić, the schedule includes the films “8 viws of lake Biwa” by Marko Raat at 4 p.m., “Song of Goats” by Andrzej Jakimowski at 6 p.m. and “Panopticon” by George Sikharulidze at 8 p.m.

The film “The Rye Horn” by Jaione Camborda is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the “Mira Banjac” Hall of the Abazija Cinema as part of the Galicia in Focus section. In the New Hungarian Film section, the film “All About the Levkoviches” directed by Ádám Breier will be screened at the Eurocinema in Subotica at 7 p.m. Two films will be screened at the Lifka Art Cinema in Subotica: at 5 p.m.

“Gerlah” by Aliona van der Horst and Luuk Bouwman in the Eco Dox program, and at 7 p.m., in the New European Documentary Film program, the film “Stray Bodies” by Elina Psykou.

In the section of presenting the 21114 Film Fest from Novi Sad, the audience will have the opportunity to see the following short films: “Jimmy Sails Away” by Tamara Broćić, “Who is This Ika Bašić?” by Tamara Trninić and Sonja Rakić, “Mar” by Milorad Milatović, “Escape from Irena” by Irena Antin, “Guguto Memeto” by Branislav Stošić, “Boca de Ferro” by Matej Matijević, and “Neighbors” directed by participants of the “Art Kvart - Start!” project. The films will be screened at the “Mira Banjac” Hall of the Abazija Cinema in Palić beginning at 5 p.m.

At the same time, at the main hall of the Abazija Cinema, the Student Films section will include screenings of the following films: “Mammoth” by Đorđije Petrović, “Retired” by Anđela Bucalović, “Lucky Us” by Vanja Vujin, “Who is This Ika Bašić?” by Tamara Trninić and Sonja Rakić, and “Wolf” by Bo Stamatović.

The Young Spirit of Europe program will feature the following films as part of the special “Young Spirit of Hungary” section: “Shoes and Hooves” by Viktória Traub, “Ask Albert” by Szandra Pataki, “Modern Times” and “Introduction to Film Studies” by Géza M. Tóth, “Meditation at Dusk” by Judit Erdélyi, “Oliver the Giant” by Júlia Lantos, and “Satan” by Arion Csihar and Marcell Belső.

The films will be shown at the Abazija Cinema beginning at 10 p.m. At 11 p.m., the band Positive Ordinary People will perform a concert at the Abazija Cinema.

Tickets for the Official Selection program cost 300 dinars for a one-day pass covering two films. They can be purchased at the Summer Stage box office from July 20 to 26, 2024, starting at 8:00 p.m. Tickets for the Parallels and Encounters competition program are 200 dinars for two films and can be purchased at the Abazija Cinema box office in Palić half an hour before the screening starts. In case of bad weather, films from the competition program will be screened at the Eurocinema (Open University of Subotica, 15 Tzar Jovan Nenad Square) at the scheduled times. Admission to all other festival screenings is free!
